Jayapura, May 24, 2025— The Public Relations Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz visited Enggros Village, Jayapura City, Saturday (May 24), to convey a message of peace as well as participate in the traditional food delivery procession between two tribes, namely women from the Saireri Tribe (Yapen Islands Regency) and men from the Tabi Tribe (Japura City).
The presence of the Task Force Public Relation Operation Peace Cartenz was warmly welcomed by the community. The event was solemn and harmonious, decorated with smiles, greetings, and greetings between residents and personnel. The family atmosphere looks thick in this activity that combines cultural values and persuasive approach.
Head of Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, Brigadier General Police Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Head of Operation, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that participation in these traditional activities is a real manifestation of the National Police’s concern for the Papuan people.
“This is one of our forms of persuasive approach to the community, through cultural and humanitarian paths,” said Brigadier General Faizal.
Enggros Village itself is a floating settlement on the sea of Youtefa Bay, located between Tanjung Pie and Saweri, and separated from the mainland by the Tobati Strait. The location of the activity takes place on Debi Island, which is known by the local community as the “beautiful island”.
Representatives of Enggros Village residents appreciated the presence of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz which has also made the traditional procession a success.
“This is a form of attention from the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz to Papuans and Papuan Indigenous People (OAP),” he said.
Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations for Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, Chief Commissioner of police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., appealed to all elements of society to continue to maintain the situation of public security and order (Kamtibmas) to remain conducive in Papua.
