Pegunungan Bintang, Papua – The personnel of the Task Force Operstioan Peace Cartenz-2025 of the Bintang Mountains sector carried out a Sambang Patrol in Okpol Village, Oksibil District, on Monday (5/19/2025). The activity led by Ipda Santosa, S.H., as the Team Commander, aims to create a sense of security as well as establish closeness with the community.
This patrol is part of the humanitarian approach of Operatioan Peace Cartenz-2025 which aims to maintain security stability by actively involving the community. During the activity, the team dialogued with community leaders, youth, and residents to listen to aspirations, complaints, and provide education about the importance of maintaining security together.
Head of Operatioan Peace Cartenz-2025, Brigadier General Pol. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Head Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized the importance of activities like this as a means of building public trust.
“Sambang Patrol is not just a routine activity, but a real form of humanist approach that we put forward. By hearing the needs of the community directly, we can create a more effective solution to maintain peace in Papua,” said Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani.
Head of Public Relations Operation Peace Cartenz-2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., also gave a statement regarding the importance of the role of communication in building trust.
“We encourage the public to actively communicate with the apparatus, both in providing information and maintaining peace together. Together, we can create a peaceful and conducive situation,” said Chief Conmissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo.
This Sambang patrol ended with giving kamtibmas messages, such as maintaining harmony among citizens, supporting government programs, and increasing awareness of potential security disturbances.
“We are committed to continue to be present in the midst of the Papuan community with a humanist approach. Together, we build a safe, peaceful, and prosperous Papua,” concluded Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani.
With this activity, the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 once again proves its dedication in maintaining security stability in Papua as well as building harmony between the security apparatus and the community.
