Makassar – One of the prospective pilgrims from West Papua has had to delay their departure to the Holy Land of Makkah due to health issues identified during the final health screening before departure.
The Secretary of the Hajj Implementation Management Center (PPIH) of Makassar Embarkation, Asa Afif, confirmed that the group of pilgrims from West Papua, part of Flight Group 25, was actually ready and had departed for Saudi Arabia. Each flight group generally consists of around 393 pilgrims, including accompanying officials, and all were already onboard the aircraft.
However, during the final health check, Mustamin Ambo Wero (64) experienced significant health problems and was immediately referred to a hospital for further treatment.
Asa Afif added that his team is continuously monitoring Mustamin’s health condition and will ensure that if medical recommendations confirm he is fit to travel, he will be promptly sent to the Holy Land. The departure of the group will proceed gradually according to each pilgrim’s health readiness.
