Pegunungan Bintang, Papua – In a continued effort to strengthen ties with local communities, personnel from the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Pegunungan Bintang sector, conducted a Community Patrol (Patroli Sambang) in Okpol Village, Oksibil District, on Monday (May 19, 2025). The activity was led directly by Police Inspector Two Santosa, S.H., as the Team Commander.
This patrol reflects the humanistic approach consistently emphasized in Operation Peace Cartenz 2025. In addition to ensuring a safe and conducive environment, the personnel took the time to engage in direct dialogue with residents, including community leaders and local youth. They listened to aspirations, addressed concerns, and delivered key messages regarding community safety.
The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., highlighted that such activities are essential in building public trust toward security forces.
“Community Patrol is not merely a routine task, but a tangible form of our engagement with the people. By listening to them directly, we can better understand the needs on the ground and provide the most suitable solutions,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal, accompanied by Deputy Head of Operations, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum.
Echoing this sentiment, the Head of Public Relations for Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized the importance of open communication between communities and the security apparatus.
“We continuously encourage the public to actively engage and collaborate with our personnel. Maintaining peace and security is a shared responsibility,” he said.
The activity concluded with the delivery of public safety messages, including the importance of preserving intercommunity harmony, supporting government programs, and remaining vigilant against potential security threats.
Brig. Gen. Faizal Ramadhani reiterated the task force’s commitment to being present among the Papuan people with a spirit of solidarity.
“Together with the community, we will build a peaceful, safe, and prosperous Papua,” he concluded.
Through efforts like this, the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 reaffirms its dedication to maintaining stability and fostering harmony across the Land of Papua.
