Task Force Peace Operation Cartenz Builds Ties with Journalists in Mimika

Timika — As part of efforts to strengthen synergy and partnerships with the press, the Public Relations Unit of Task Force Peace Operation Cartenz held a friendly gathering with journalists working in the jurisdiction of Mimika Regency, Central Papua, on May 8, 2025. The event took place in a relaxed and family-like atmosphere at a café in Timika City.

The gathering was attended by Deputy Head of Public Relations, Task Force Peace Operation Cartenz, Police Commissioner Yusuf Tauziri, S.I.K. On this occasion, Commissioner Yusuf expressed his appreciation for the support and cooperation of the media in disseminating factual, balanced, and constructive information.

The Head of Task Force Peace Operation Cartenz, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Head of Task Force Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., also conveyed his sincere appreciation to the journalists who have supported the success of the operation.

“The media is our strategic partner in maintaining public safety and order. Through this synergy, we hope that the information conveyed to the public will reflect the spirit of peace that we bring to every step of the operation,” said Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations, Task Force Peace Operation Cartenz, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., in his official statement highlighted the crucial role of journalists in shaping a positive public perception of law enforcement efforts and security recovery in Papua.

“Task Force Peace Operation Cartenz is not only focused on law enforcement but also on humanistic and dialog-based approaches. For this reason, we greatly need the media’s support in delivering messages of peace and promoting the spirit of unity,” explained Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo.

This gathering served as a platform to strengthen the relationship between the police and the media, as well as to reinforce cooperation in supporting a safe, peaceful, and prosperous Papua. The event concluded with an open dialogue session as a form of transparency and future collaboration.
