Timika – In an effort to strengthen partnerships with the press, the Public Relations Task Force of Operation Peace Cartenz held a gathering with journalists in Mimika, Central Papua, on Wednesday (May 8, 2025). The event took place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at a café in Timika City.
Deputy Head of Public Relations Task Force, Police Commissioner Yusuf Tauziri, S.I.K., was present at the event. He expressed his appreciation to the journalists for their active role in disseminating accurate and balanced information.
“The media has become an important partner in delivering messages of peace and maintaining public security,” said Commissioner Yusuf.
Similar appreciation was conveyed by the Head of Operation Peace Cartenz, Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., who attended the event alongside Deputy Head of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum. Brigadier General Faizal emphasized the importance of media collaboration in supporting the operation’s humanistic and dialogical approach.
“The information conveyed by the media plays a vital role in shaping public perception of the peace mission we are promoting,” he stated.
Head of the Public Relations Task Force, Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., also highlighted that the success of the operation cannot be separated from the media’s support in crafting positive narratives within society.
“This operation is not solely about law enforcement, but also about building dialogue and strengthening the spirit of unity. In this context, the media plays a crucial role,” explained Yusuf Sutejo.
The gathering concluded with an open dialogue session between the Public Relations Task Force and the journalists. Beyond reinforcing professional ties, the forum is expected to lay the groundwork for closer collaboration in supporting a peaceful and prosperous Papua.
