Timika – In an effort to strengthen partnership and synergy with the press, the Humas Operation Peace Cartenz Task Force organized a gathering with several journalists working in the Mimika Regency, Central Papua, on May 8, 2025. The event was held in a relaxed and familial atmosphere at a café in downtown Timika.
During the occasion, the Deputy Head of the Humas Operation Peace Cartenz, Kompol Yusuf Tauziri, S.I.K., expressed appreciation for the media’s continued support and cooperation in disseminating accurate, balanced, and constructive information. He emphasized the vital role of the media in supporting security stability in the region.
Additionally, the Head of Operation Peace Cartenz, Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by the Deputy Head of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., also conveyed gratitude to the journalists who have contributed to conveying messages of peace and the success of the operation to the public.
“Media is our strategic partner in maintaining a conducive situation. Through this collaboration, we hope that the information disseminated can reflect the spirit of peace and unity in every step of our operations,” said Brigjen Pol. Faizal Ramadhani.
Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., the Head of the Humas Operation Peace Cartenz, added that journalists play a crucial role in shaping a positive public perception of law enforcement efforts and security recovery in Papua. He stressed that a humanistic and dialogue-based approach is key to maintaining peace in the region.
This gathering served as a moment to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement officials and journalists, as well as a platform for open discussion regarding future collaboration in conveying narratives of peace and development in Papua. The event concluded with a dialogue session that allowed for direct exchange of ideas and information between both parties.
With this activity, it is hoped that the synergy between the authorities and the media will become even stronger, contributing to a safe, peaceful, and prosperous Papua.
