Papuan Traditional Leader’s Support for Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2025’s Law Enforcement in Papua
Keerom, Papua, May 7, 2025 – Papuan traditional leader, Herman Yoku, who also serves as the Head of the Wikaya-Arso Keerom Tribe, firmly expressed his support for Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2025 in enforcing the law against Armed Criminal Groups (KKB) and Political Criminal Groups (KKP) in Papua. This statement was made by Herman Yoku during an event held in Arso, Keerom Regency, on May 7, 2025.
According to Herman Yoku, strict law enforcement against groups that threaten the stability of security in Papua is essential to maintaining peace in the region. He stated that without clear and consistent law enforcement, security in the area would continue to be at risk due to actions that disturb the public.
“We fully support and appreciate the decisive actions taken by Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2025. This is a crucial step for security and peace in Papua,” said Herman Yoku.
Furthermore, Yoku also extended his appreciation to the security forces for their continued efforts in maintaining order and providing a sense of security to the public. He stressed that the criminal actions carried out by the KKB are deeply disturbing and have caused many victims, both among the security forces and civilians.
“We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force 2025 and the police for their efforts in maintaining peace and order in Papua,” he concluded.
