Papuan Traditional Leader Supports Cartenz-2025 Peace Task Force to Enforce Law Against KKB and KKP

Keerom, Papua – A Papuan traditional leader who also serves as the Chief of the Wikaya-Arso Tribe in Keerom, Herman Yoku, has expressed his support for the Ops Peace Cartenz-2025 Task Force in their efforts to uphold the law against Armed Criminal Groups (KKB) and Political Criminal Groups (KKP) in Papua.

In his statement in Arso, Keerom Regency (May 7, 2025), Herman Yoku emphasized that firm action against these groups is crucial to maintaining security stability in Papua and other newly formed provinces.

“We express our support to the Ops Peace Cartenz-2025 Task Force in enforcing the law against armed criminal groups (KKB) and political criminal groups (KKP) to create peace and security in Papua,” said Herman Yoku.

He also conveyed high appreciation to the Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force for their efforts in providing a sense of safety and comfort to the Papuan community. According to him, active involvement of security forces is very much needed to address various disturbances caused by these groups that threaten the public.

Furthermore, Herman Yoku expressed his firm stance against KKB, which he views as frequently engaging in criminal acts that result in casualties among security personnel and civilians.

“Once again, we extend our highest appreciation and support to the Indonesian National Police through the Ops Peace Cartenz-2025,” he concluded.
