Mimika, Papua – A warm smile, shared snacks, and uplifting words—these simple gestures are how the Cartenz Peace Task Force 2025 reaches out to Papua’s young generation. On Wednesday afternoon (April 30, 2025), two public relations personnel from the task force, Briptu Santriawan, S.H., and Bripda Adharmansyah, engaged in a friendly dialogue with students on Cenderawasih Street, Mimika.
Through a friendly and approachable method, they spoke casually with the students while delivering key messages: the importance of staying healthy, avoiding negative influences, and staying motivated in their studies. Their support wasn’t just verbal—it came in the form of snacks and light refreshments, handed out with care and encouragement.
“We want Papuan children to grow up in a healthy and safe environment. They are the hope for the future. These snacks may be a small gesture, but our hope is big: that they feel seen, appreciated, and stay motivated,” said Briptu Santriawan during the interaction.
This initiative is part of the Cartenz Peace Task Force’s non-repressive strategy in maintaining security across Papua. Through direct communication and a humanitarian approach, the officers are present not only as protectors but also as companions and allies of the community—especially its children.
The Head of Cartenz Peace Operation 2025, Brig. Gen. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized the importance of heartfelt engagement in ensuring public safety. “Children need to feel that the state is here to support them. Direct communication like this helps foster both a sense of security and trust,” he said.
Echoing this, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force, Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, encouraged communities to play a more active role in protecting the younger generation. “Let’s work together to create a positive environment where children can grow into individuals who contribute to their families, communities, and the nation,” he stated.
Local residents welcomed the initiative with enthusiasm. Parents who witnessed the interaction expressed hope that similar activities would be held regularly, as they bring positive influence and encouragement to their children.
Through this simple yet meaningful act, the Cartenz Peace Task Force continues to demonstrate that security in Papua is upheld not only through force, but through compassion, care, and a human touch.
