Paniai — A halal bihalal gathering and the celebration of the 79th Anniversary (Harlah) of Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) together with the Peace Operation Task Force Cartenz-2025, Paniai Sector, took place peacefully and orderly at the PCNU Paniai Hall on Sunday (April 27).
The Head of Peace Operation Task Force Cartenz-2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Head of Operations, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that the event aimed to strengthen the relationship between Muslimat NU and security forces in Paniai Regency. Additionally, it sought to enhance coordination in maintaining a safe and orderly public security environment.
“Events like this are crucial in building trust between the community and security personnel. We hope this synergy continues to grow, supporting peace and security in Paniai,” said Brigadier General Faizal.
The event, which began at 2:00 PM Eastern Indonesia Time (WIT), was attended by personnel from the Peace Operation Task Force’s Action Unit, led by Second Police Inspector Nofri Surya Rossa, along with military personnel from Infantry Battalion 756, led by Lieutenant Colonel of Infantry Gunawan Wibisono, S.H.
The Public Relations Chief of Peace Operation Task Force Cartenz-2025, Senior Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., confirmed that the entire event proceeded smoothly without any security disturbances, including threats from Armed Criminal Groups (KKB).
“Alhamdulillah, the event was safe, orderly, and filled with warmth. This shows that both the community and security forces in Paniai are capable of maintaining a peaceful and secure environment together,” said Commissioner Yusuf.
The halal bihalal event concluded with a joint prayer for the safety of the nation and the Papua region, followed by a friendly gathering that further strengthened the bonds between the community, religious leaders, and security personnel. This event stands as clear proof that synergy and unity are the keys to achieving lasting peace in Papua.
