Jayapura – Papuan youth leader, Ali Kabiay, strongly condemned the violent actions that killed several gold prospectors in Yahukimo Regency, Papua. He described the actions as a crime against humanity that cannot be justified in any form.
“Those prospectors came to make a living, not to fight. Violence like this only creates fear and hinders peace in Papua,” Ali Kabiay stated firmly on Wednesday (April 16).
He also urged security forces to thoroughly investigate this case and take firm action against the perpetrators. Ali called on all elements of Papuan society to maintain peace and not be provoked by brutal actions aimed at dividing unity.
“Papua needs peace, not violence. Let’s protect this land together,” he concluded.
