Elementary Students in Timika Offer Prayers and Gratitude for Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 Humanitarian Visit

TIMIKA, INDONESIA – As part of its ongoing efforts to foster stronger ties between security forces and local communities, the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025 paid a special visit to Torsina Elementary School in Timika on Wednesday, May 16. The visit was marked by the presence of Bripda Annisa, a member of the Public Relations Unit of the Peace Cartenz Task Force, known for her friendly demeanor and warm connection with children.

The schoolyard was filled with joyful laughter and vibrant energy as students in scout uniforms enthusiastically welcomed Bripda Annisa. With raised fists and bright smiles, they eagerly participated in interactive games and activities, promoting values such as unity, patriotism, and mutual respect from an early age.

This initiative is part of the Indonesian National Police’s broader mission under Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, which goes beyond security operations to include community engagement and character building. Through direct interaction with students, the operation aims to reshape perceptions of the police—not as a symbol of fear, but as trusted friends and protectors.

The Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2025, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized the importance of a human-centered approach in policing.

“We are committed to earning the public’s trust, starting with the younger generation. Through activities like this, we hope to bring the police closer to the hearts of the people in Papua, especially its youth. Every child deserves to grow up feeling safe and protected, and to see the police as part of their community,” he stated.

Echoing this sentiment, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., Deputy Head of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, highlighted the long-term impact of such engagement.

“Children represent the future of Papua. When they experience the compassionate side of the police at a young age, it nurtures a sense of trust and security. That’s the spirit we carry in every step of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025,” said Chief Commissioner Adarma.

Bripda Annisa’s presence at Torsina Elementary School served not only as a symbol of strength and service but also of love and compassion. Her interactions left a lasting impression, laying the groundwork for trust between law enforcement and the next generation in Papua.

At the conclusion of the visit, Torsina Elementary School’s principal, Mrs. Yeri, expressed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the school.

“Thank you, Sir, for your presence and the generous gifts for our children at Torsina Elementary School. Today has brought joy to them, and we pray that you and the entire Operation Peace Cartenz team continue to be blessed and become a blessing to others,” said Mrs. Yeri.

This event reflects the evolving role of security forces in Papua, where empathy and outreach are becoming as vital as operational readiness.
