Head of BPKAD: Former Regent of Supiori Returns Two Official Vehicles

Biak – Former Regent of Supiori Regency, Papua, Jules F. Warikar, who served two terms (2005–2010 and 2015–2020), has returned two government-owned official vehicles to the local government as regional assets.

“Praise God, the asset division has received two vehicles belonging to the former regent and three vehicles from retired civil servants,” said Aldy, Head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), when contacted in Biak on Thursday.

He stated that the two vehicles returned by former Regent Jules Warikar were a Toyota Land Cruiser Series 4.2L A/T and a Toyota New Camry 2.4 A/T (ACV40R).

According to Aldy, the vehicles were returned in good condition and are still roadworthy, ready to support the smooth operation of governance, development, and public services.

On behalf of the Supiori Regency Government, as the manager and custodian of regional assets, he expressed gratitude to the former official for returning the official vehicles.

“Government-owned vehicles are listed in the financial report balance sheet and must be retrieved from retired civil servants,” he added.

He also mentioned that three other official vehicles from the Supiori Regency Government were retrieved: two Toyota Kijang Innovas from retired civil servants Zeth M. and Hendrik Marandof, and one Toyota Hilux 3.0G from Ronny Mamoribo.

Aldy stated that a total of 1,681 official vehicles are recorded as assets of the Supiori Regency Government in its financial report.

“As regional assets, Supiori Regency’s official vehicles must be accounted for both physically and administratively,” he said.
