Ilaga, Puncak — As part of their assistance visit to the operational area, the Damai Cartenz-2025 Assistance Team distributed basic food supplies to patients at the Ilaga Regional General Hospital (RSUD Ilaga) in Puncak Regency, Papua, on Wednesday morning (April 9, 2025).
This humanitarian effort was led directly by the Head of Public Relations for the Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., who, along with his team, visited and greeted patients and their families currently receiving treatment at the hospital. The aid consisted of essential food items, delivered as a gesture of care and support for the community during difficult times.
“Our presence here is not just about carrying out security duties, but also about showing compassion and empathy. We want to serve as an extension of the state in supporting the people, especially those in need,” said Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo during the event.
A warm and compassionate atmosphere was evident as team members engaged in conversations with patients and their families. In the face of limited facilities and often difficult access, the presence of the Damai Cartenz-2025 personnel brought hope and encouragement to the local community.
This initiative is part of the human-centered approach continuously promoted under the Damai Cartenz Operation, where the mission to maintain security stability goes hand-in-hand with humanitarian goals.
“Maintaining peace in Papua requires more than just securing the area. We must also uphold humanitarian values and care for one another,” added Yusuf Sutejo.
The Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force remains committed to being present among the people—not only as security forces, but as partners who care about the well-being and recovery of the Papuan community.
