Task Force Operation Peace 2025 Holds Humanitarian Social Service Amid Refugee Crisis in Puncak Jaya

Puncak Jaya – A warm atmosphere surrounded the humanitarian social service activity organized by the Assistance Team of Task Force Operation Peace 2025 at Al-Kitab School, Puncak Jaya Regency. The event was led directly by the Head of Public Relations Task Force of Operation Peace 2025, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., accompanied by the Head of Action Task Force, Police Commissioner Wahyu, S.I.K., M.H.

The activity took place on Monday (April 7) at Al-Kitab School in Puncak Jaya, which currently also serves as one of the refugee shelters due to tribal conflict in the area.

The primary focus of the event was to provide humanitarian attention and support to displaced people, especially children and affected families. Logistical aid was distributed along with messages of empathy, peace, and care — values that are at the core of this operation.

Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo stated that this activity is a real form of the humanist approach carried out by Task Force Operation Peace personnel in Papua.

“We are here not only to ensure security but also to heal the social wounds caused by conflict. These children are the future of Papua, and they must not lose hope just because of a difficult situation,” he said.

Moreover, the activity also aimed to reduce tensions arising from the ongoing conflict and to remind both conflicting parties of the importance of protecting innocent civilians. Through this humanist approach, the Task Force hopes to foster dialogue, collective awareness, and the restoration of harmony among the people.

One of the most touching moments occurred when refugee children received gift packages from the Task Force personnel. Their small laughter and sincere smiles became a symbol of how impactful empathy can be in the midst of adversity. The officers warmly engaged, played, and greeted the residents without hesitation.

The Head of Task Force Operation Peace 2025, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., also emphasized that the security operations in Papua are not only about law enforcement but also about creating a sense of security based on trust and compassion.

“We believe that a humanist approach is the key to restoring true peace. That is what we carry forward in every step of this operation,” he asserted.

The social service activities included the distribution of food, vitamins, and medical services. The local community’s enthusiasm toward the Task Force Operation Peace team was clearly visible.

Through this activity, Task Force Operation Peace 2025 reaffirms that the presence of the state in Papua is not only as a stabilizing force but also as a protector, guardian, and friend to its people. This heartfelt approach is part of the ongoing effort to realize a peaceful, just, and hopeful Papua.
