CKG Service Schedule Adjusted to Community Needs

The Biak Numfor Regency Health Office (Dinkes) in Papua ensures that the Free Health Check (CKG) program is now operating in 21 local community health centers (puskesmas). This program is part of President Prabowo’s government policy to provide free healthcare access to the public. The Head of Health Services at the Biak Numfor Health Office, Jubelina Marandof, stated that since its launch by Regent Markus O. Mansnembra on Numfor Island in March 2025, all puskesmas have been actively serving residents. To ensure optimal service delivery, healthcare workers have been instructed to adjust service schedules according to geographical conditions and the needs of each community.

The Head of the Biak Numfor Health Office, Daud Nataniel Duwiri, emphasized that ensuring the availability of medicines in all 21 puskesmas is a top priority. He confirmed that essential medications are stocked 24/7 to prevent any disruptions in healthcare services. Additionally, the local government has allocated IDR 5.5 billion for drug procurement this year, sourced from IDR 2.5 billion in non-physical special allocation funds and IDR 3 billion from Papua’s special autonomy funds. Although this amount covers only half of the ideal annual need, estimated at IDR 10 to 12 billion, the local government is striving to ensure that medicine supplies remain sufficient to meet public demand.

With the implementation of the CKG program and a guaranteed supply of medicines, the people of Biak Numfor can now access healthcare services more easily and free of charge. The local government continues to enhance the quality of healthcare services by ensuring the availability of medical personnel, facilities, and medications in every puskesmas. This initiative aims to improve public health and accelerate equitable healthcare distribution across the region.
