Indonesian National Police Question Three Military Personnel Regarding Gun Smuggling Case to Armed Criminal Groups (KKB), Further Investigation Transferred to Kodam III/Siliwangi

Bandung – A joint task force from the Damai Cartenz 2025 Operation, Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Papua Barat Police, Papua Police, and East Java Police conducted an interrogation on Friday, March 21, 2025, regarding three military personnel identified as RBS, YR, and SS. These individuals are suspected to be involved in a cross-provincial gun trafficking network. The interrogation took place at the Pomdam III/Siliwangi and was part of the investigation into seven civilians, including Yuni Enumbi and Teguh Wiyono, who had previously been arrested and named as suspects.

The three military personnel were questioned as witnesses in connection with the case involving the seven civilians who had been named suspects. The next steps in the legal process for these military personnel will be fully handled by Kodam III/Siliwangi.

Chronology of the Cross-Provincial Gun Trafficking Incident

Mid-2024

RBS was introduced to Teguh Wiyono by his colleague, Amri, from the Purwakarta shooting club (Perbakin).

Communication continued via WhatsApp to discuss the purchase of firearms.

Late November 2024

The first transaction took place at the Patradissa Hotel in Bandung.

RBS sold one M16 rifle to Teguh Wiyono for IDR 30 million.

December 2024

The second transaction took place at the Griya Indah Hotel in Bandung.

RBS sold two SS1 rifles to Teguh Wiyono for a total of IDR 60 million.

The firearms were supplied by YR.

Early January 2025

The third transaction also occurred at the Griya Indah Hotel.

RBS sold two SS1 rifles, five SS1 rifle barrels, and 280 rounds of ammunition to Teguh Wiyono for a total of IDR 62 million.

The firearms and equipment came from YR and SS.

February 2025

The fourth transaction: RBS sold one FN pistol for IDR 22 million.

The weapon was supplied by SS.

March 14, 2025

The three military personnel were arrested by Kodam III/Siliwangi in Bandung.

March 21, 2025

A joint team from the Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force, the Papua Barat Police, Papua Police, and East Java Police questioned the three military personnel as witnesses in the ongoing case involving the seven civilian suspects.

The Chief of the Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that the legal process for the three military personnel will be handled by Kodam III/Siliwangi.

“We, from the Indonesian National Police, only conducted the questioning of these individuals in their capacity as witnesses to strengthen the case against the seven civilian suspects. The next steps for the three military personnel will fall under the authority of Kodam III/Siliwangi,” Brigadier General Faizal stated.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Operations Chief of Damai Cartenz 2025, Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, expressed his gratitude for the successful joint investigation by the four police forces and the Task Force, which proceeded smoothly.

“Let us all hope that this investigation can continue to proceed well,” said Commissioner Adarma.

As of March 20, 2025, a total of 10 people have been arrested, including the three active-duty military personnel. Further confrontation questioning between Teguh Wiyono and YR is scheduled to be conducted by investigators from the East Java Police.
