MIMIKA, In anticipation of the upcoming holiday, the Regional Finance and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Mimika Regency is currently implementing a policy for paying the holiday allowance (THR) to 5,000 ASN and PPPK employees. This process is part of the local government’s efforts to ensure that employees’ rights are fulfilled in accordance with the applicable regulations.
According to the established rules, the THR should be paid 15 days before the holiday. However, the payment process in Mimika could only begin after the receipt of a new circular letter and updated technical guidelines (juknis). Marthen Mallisa, Head of BPKAD, explained that the issuance of the new technical guidelines regarding the THR calculation for 2025 has necessitated an adjustment in the payment schedule.
Although there has been a delay compared to the standard provisions, the allocation of funds amounting to around Rp11 billion demonstrates the region’s readiness and commitment to fulfilling its obligations. The prompt administrative process carried out after receiving the new circular letter is expected to ensure that all employees receive their THR without any administrative obstacles, thereby fostering trust and satisfaction among the employees.
