JAYAPURA, March 21, 2025 – Ali Kabiay, the Chairman of Pemuda Mandala Trikora of Papua Province and Secretary General of the Barisan Merah Putih Republik Indonesia (BMP-RI) Papua, issued a statement urging the entire Papuan community to maintain security and public order (kamtibmas) during the holy month of Ramadan.
In his statement, Kabiay emphasized the importance of preserving interfaith tolerance, particularly in honoring Muslims who are observing fasting. He noted that Papua upholds strong values of togetherness and traditions of mutual respect among adherents of different religions. “Let us maintain tolerance among religious communities and show that Papua possesses values of togetherness and mutual respect very well,” he said.
Ali Kabiay also called on religious leaders and community figures to actively create a safe and harmonious atmosphere in Papua. Through synergy among community elements, Kabiay hopes to strengthen unity and solidarity during this Ramadan month. He emphasized that the contribution of all community elements is crucial for creating a conducive environment and social stability.
