Papua Must Prosper: Melanesian Youth Diplomacy Forum Chairman Calls for Support of Asta Cita Program

Jayapura – The Chairman of the Melanesian Youth Diplomacy Forum, Steve Mara, has called on the people of Papua, especially the younger generation, to support the Asta Cita program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. He believes that such support is crucial to achieving a more prosperous and peaceful Papua.

“I urge all young people and the people of Papua to support the central government’s programs in line with President Prabowo’s Asta Cita, which aim to bring prosperity and peace to Papua,” said Steve Mara in Jayapura, Papua, on Thursday (March 20, 2025).

He also emphasized that this support is essential to shaping a better future for Papua’s youth and ensuring Papua’s prosperity, particularly as Indonesia moves toward its vision for 2045.

“This program aims to create a better generation of young Papuans and contribute to Indonesia’s future as we strive for the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision,” he added.

According to Steve, Indonesia is currently moving in a positive direction. Therefore, the people must unite in supporting the central government’s programs.

“There is no dark Indonesia, only a bright one. We must work together to build and support government programs to make Indonesia better and achieve the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision,” he asserted.

Asta Cita Addresses Key Issues

Steve believes that the Asta Cita program implemented by President Prabowo has been effective in addressing various national issues, particularly in the areas of welfare, economy, and peace in Papua.

“The Asta Cita program led by President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran has addressed many issues, especially those related to welfare, economic growth, and peace in Papua,” Steve explained.

He added that the positive impact of the Asta Cita program has been directly felt by the people of Papua, particularly through special autonomy initiatives and social programs such as the Free Nutritious Meals program.

“Programs like special autonomy and Free Nutritious Meals have had a positive impact on the well-being of Papuans. These initiatives must continue to be supported so that Papua’s younger generation is well-prepared to face future challenges and contribute to the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision,” Steve concluded.
