Aruka Learning Center: A New Hope for Children’s Education in Mimika

Mimika – For the people of Mimika Timur District, the presence of Aruka Learning Center is more than just a place to study—it is a symbol of hope for their children’s future. This program, initiated by the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, has received great appreciation from local residents, who have witnessed a positive change in their children’s enthusiasm for learning.

Yosep, a resident whose two children participate in the program, expressed his gratitude for the attention given to education in his area.

“In the past, our children used to spend most of their time playing aimlessly after school. Now, they are more excited to learn because they have a place where they feel comfortable and happy,” said Yosep.

According to him, the learning methods at the Aruka Learning Center are different from those in regular schools. With a more interactive and engaging approach, children can absorb knowledge more easily and gain confidence in their learning.

Beyond providing education, this program also strengthens the bond between the community and law enforcement officers. Yosep emphasized that this initiative proves the presence of the police in Papua is not only about maintaining security but also about building a better future for the children of Papua.

“We hope that programs like this will continue and even expand to other areas so that more children in Papua can have access to quality education,” Yosep concluded with hope.
