As a special task force established by the Indonesian National Police (Polri), Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 has the primary duty of handling various security disturbances in Papua, particularly those related to the activities of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). This task force is part of a long-term strategy to uphold the law and ensure that the people of Papua can live in a safe and secure environment.
The success of Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 in uncovering the illegal arms supplier network proves that this operation is running effectively. According to Max Ohee, this is clear evidence that security forces are not standing idle in the face of growing threats. “We must fully support this operation so that, in the future, Papua truly becomes a safe region, free from armed conflict,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, he hopes that this operation will continue to be strengthened with full support from the central government, both in terms of human resources and technology. With the right approach, he believes that security threats posed by KKB can be increasingly minimized until Papua is completely free from the dangers of armed groups.
