Jayapura, March 17, 2025 – Deputy Chairman II of the Papuan People’s Assembly (MRP) from the Customary Working Group (Pokja Adat), Max Abner Ohee, who also serves as the Chairman of the Red and White Front (BMP RI-Papua) for Papua Province, expressed his appreciation to the Indonesian National Police (Polri) for the success of the Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force in uncovering the arms and ammunition supplier network to the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua.
In his statement on Monday (17/3) in Kota Raja, Jayapura City, Max Abner Ohee emphasized that this achievement is a concrete step in maintaining the security and safety of the Papuan people from KKB threats.
“We appreciate the hard work of the Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force, which has collaborated with the Papua Regional Police (Polda Papua), West Papua Regional Police (Polda Papua Barat), East Java Regional Police (Polda Jawa Timur), and the Special Region of Yogyakarta Regional Police (Polda DIY). This success is clear evidence that security forces remain committed to maintaining stability in Papua,” said Max Ohee.
He hopes that the Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 Task Force will continue working with high dedication to create a secure and orderly environment for all Papuans.
Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 is a special task force formed by Polri to handle security disturbances in Papua, particularly related to KKB activities. Security forces continue to implement strategic measures to ensure stability and security in the Papua region.
