Jayapura – In commemoration of National Awareness Day, the Papua Regional Police (Polda Papua) held a ceremony at the Polda Papua Parade Ground, Koya Koso, Abepura District, Jayapura City, on Monday (March 17, 2025).
The ceremony, which took place from 8:00 AM to 8:53 AM WIT, was led by the Papua Deputy Police Chief, Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., who also serves as the Chief of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025.
In his speech, the Deputy Chief emphasized that National Awareness Day is a moment of reflection for all state officials, particularly police officers, to strengthen their dedication to the nation and the country.
“This moment reminds us of the importance of carrying out our duties with high dedication, professionalism, and unwavering integrity. As police officers, we have a great responsibility to maintain security and stability, uphold the law, and provide protection and the best possible service to the public,” said Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani.
He also stressed that security and public order are not solely the responsibility of the police but require cooperation between the military (TNI), local governments, and all elements of society. According to him, strong synergy and effective communication are essential to creating a safer and more harmonious Papua.
Additionally, he reaffirmed Polda Papua’s commitment to implementing the Polri Presisi (Predictive, Responsibility, and Transparency with Justice) concept by prioritizing a humanistic approach based on local wisdom. By doing so, the police are expected to build public trust and enhance service quality.
The ceremony, attended by approximately 700 personnel from various units, proceeded solemnly with a series of events, including the hoisting of the Indonesian national flag, the reading of the Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution preamble, as well as the recitation of the Tri Brata and Catur Prasetya police oaths.
Polda Papua hopes this commemoration serves as a reminder for all police personnel to continue working with loyalty, professionalism, and a spirit of service to ensure the security and welfare of the people of Papua.
