In order to create a conducive situation in the Bintang Mountains area, the personnel of the Cartenz-2025 Peace Operation Task Force carried out security for Sunday worship at the Bethel Indonesia Church, Oksibil. This activity is part of the Cartenz Peace Operation strategy which not only focuses on law enforcement, but also implements a humanist approach to bring security forces closer to the community.
The security of Sunday worship is carried out with full caution and professionalism. Personnel who are in charge of attending from the beginning of the activity to ensure that the worship process runs in an orderly and safe manner for all congregations present. The existence of security personnel in this church environment is expected to be able to provide a sense of security and comfort so that the congregation can carry out worship with solemnity.
On that occasion, Deputy Head Of Operation Peace Cartenz 2025, Chief Commissioner of Police. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated,
“Humanistic approach in every security activity is very important. By being actively involved in religious activities, we hope to build an increasingly harmonious relationship between the apparatus and the community. We want people to see that our presence is not only to maintain security, but also as part of their social lives.”
The Sunday worship security activity at Bethel Indonesia Church is one of the initiatives from the task force operation peace Cartenz-2025 to create a safe situation throughout the Bintang Mountains region. This step is in line with various other social and religious activities that have been carried out by the Task Force, such as the provision of lectures before the tarawih prayer at the Al-Ikhlas Mosque, Oksibil. The activity has proven that the soft approach is able to increase public trust in security forces.
The Oksibil community also welcomed the presence of the Task Force personnel in the worship activities. Some congregations expressed satisfaction and comfort because they felt safe during the worship. One of the locals said,
“The presence of security forces in the church makes us feel more protected. We appreciate the humanistic attitude shown by the Task Force, because it builds trust and closeness between the police and the community.”
With integrated security and a humanistic approach, the task force operation peace Cartenz-2025 continues to be committed to supporting the creation of a safe, orderly, and harmonious atmosphere in the Bintang Mountains region. Through various religious and social activities, it is hoped that the relationship between the security apparatus and the community will be closer, so that together they can maintain peace and create conducive conditions for daily life.
