Wamena, March 3, 2025 – In an effort to strengthen the relationship between security forces and the community, Policewoman from Peace Operation Cartenz-2025, Ipda Amelia Mega Kartika Kawilarang, S.Psi., visited Jibama Market in Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Pegunungan.
This visit was conducted with a humanistic approach, where Ipda Amelia interacted with local Papuan women while shopping for fruits and vegetables.
Taking place just before the breaking of the fast, this activity serves as evidence that the situation in Wamena is always safe and conducive.
With warmth, Ipda Amelia engaged in conversation with the vendors, listened to their stories, and made purchases as a form of support for the local economy.
The Public Relations Task Force Commander of Peace Operation Cartenz-2025, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., stated that this activity is part of building public trust toward security forces.
“We want to demonstrate that Wamena is always conducive. A humanistic approach like this is important for maintaining social and economic stability in the region,” said Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo.
Through such interactions, it is hoped that the community will become increasingly confident that the presence of security forces is not only to maintain order but also to support the social and economic lives of the citizens.
