Smiles of Female Police Officers in Ops Damai Cartenz Bring Blessings to Papuan Mothers at Oksibil Old Market

Papua – A warm atmosphere was felt at Oksibil Old Market, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, when female police officers (Polwan) from Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 visited on Friday (February 14, 2025). The presence of the Polwan aimed to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the local community.

With a friendly smile, Brigpol Ita Sombo Allo greeted and interacted with the vendors, creating an atmosphere of familiarity and togetherness. Her presence not only provided a sense of security but also enhanced communication between the police and the community.

In addition to chatting, Brigpol Ita also purchased various goods from the Papuan vendors, such as vegetables, fruits, and other local products. This initiative was a form of support for small traders to stay motivated in running their businesses.

“We want to show that the police are not only here to maintain security, but also to support the local economy. By purchasing goods from the Papuan mothers, we hope to assist them in meeting their daily needs,” said Brigpol Ita.

The Head of Public Relations Task Force for Ops Damai Cartenz 2025, Kombes Pol Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that this activity is part of the police’s commitment to creating a safe and conducive environment.

“We are here in the community to ensure that the situation remains conducive and to provide the best service. With our presence, we hope the public will feel safer and more comfortable in their daily activities,” he said.

He also called on the people of Pegunungan Bintang Regency to continue collaborating with security forces in maintaining public order and safety (Kamtibmas) in the area.

“The involvement of the community is crucial in maintaining security and stability. We hope that citizens will work together with the police to create a peaceful and harmonious environment,” he added.

This visit is expected to strengthen the relationship between the police and the Papuan community, as well as to enhance public trust in the security efforts in the Pegunungan Bintang area. The presence of the Polwan from Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 at the market is also a tangible demonstration that the police’s role goes beyond maintaining order – they are also concerned with the welfare of the community.
