Mimika – In an effort to enhance mental resilience and teamwork, the Psychology Team of Subsatgas Ban Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 held a Psychological Training and Mental Strengthening session for operational personnel at the Timika Sector Post on Wednesday (February 5, 2025). The training was led by IPDA Amelia Mega Kartika Kawilarang, S.Psi., and IPDA Moh. Arsyad Hafid Affandy, S.Psi., and was attended by all personnel stationed in the area.
This program was designed to foster cohesion and focus through various interactive activities. Participants were divided into groups and challenged with several exercises, including:
The Straw Triangle Challenge, aimed at improving coordination and teamwork.
Chopstick Ball Relay, to sharpen concentration and precision.
Team Chant Creation, to boost morale and strengthen camaraderie.
As part of the reflection session, personnel were encouraged to write optimistic messages and advice for their platoon commanders and families. This served as an important moment to express hope and moral support.
IPDA Amelia Mega Kartika Kawilarang emphasized the positive impact of psychological training on the well-being of personnel.
“Mental health plays a crucial role in mission success. Through this training, we hope all members become more united and ready to face challenges ahead,” she stated.
Echoing this sentiment, Waka Ops Damai Cartenz-2025, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., highlighted the importance of balancing physical and mental preparedness.
“Strong mental resilience enables personnel to perform better in the field. That’s why we continue to ensure this program runs consistently,” he explained.
With this training, Ops Damai Cartenz-2025 personnel are expected to strengthen their mental toughness, remain solid as a team, and carry out their duties optimally in maintaining security and order in the operational area.
