Yahukimo- The Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force successfully arrested a wanted member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), Iyoktogi Telenggen, also known as Upinip Kogoya or Upinip Telenggen. The arrest took place on Monday, February 3, 2025, at approximately 1:11 PM WIT in Dekai, Yahukimo Regency, Papua.
Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., Head of Ops Damai Cartenz 2025, revealed that Iyoktogi Telenggen (46 years old) is from Komapaga Village, West Sinak District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua, and has been involved in multiple criminal acts that have resulted in numerous casualties.
### *Criminal Acts Committed by Iyoktogi Telenggen:*
1. *June 25, 2021* – Involved in the shooting and assault of construction workers in Bingki Village, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency, which resulted in four deaths and one injury.
2. *October 16, 2023* – Played a role in the murder of gold miners in Kali El, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency, which led to the deaths of 13 people and injuries to one other person.
Iyoktogi Telenggen had been on the wanted list (DPO) since November 2023 for multiple violent crimes.
### *Confiscated Evidence:*
– 1 traditional noken bag
– 2 head coverings
– Cash in denominations of IDR 50,000 and IDR 20,000
– 1 wallet containing cassowary feathers
– Several other items, including bracelets, necklaces, and menthol oil
Currently, Iyoktogi Telenggen is in the custody of the Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force and is undergoing further investigation.
Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., Head of Public Relations for Ops Damai Cartenz 2025, urged the people of Yahukimo Regency to remain calm and not be easily provoked by misinformation that could cause unrest.
“We urge the public to stay vigilant and not be swayed by unverified information. The police, together with the military, will continue to work to maintain security and order in Papua, particularly in Yahukimo Regency,” said Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo.
With this successful arrest, the Ops Damai Cartenz 2025 Task Force reaffirms its commitment to taking firm action against armed criminal groups that threaten security stability in Papua.
