Yalimo – On Monday (January 27), the Ops Damai Cartenz Task Force visited Yalimo Regency to strengthen connections with the community. This initiative aimed to foster social bonds by supporting sports activities, marked by the donation of a soccer ball and a volleyball as a form of care and encouragement.
The Head of Public Relations for Ops Damai Cartenz, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, explained that the donation of the balls is a tangible show of support for the community, particularly the younger generation, to motivate them to engage in positive activities.
“These balls are not just gifts; they represent the spirit we wish to share, encouraging the community, especially the youth, to stay actively involved in meaningful activities,” said Commissioner Yusuf.
In addition to providing assistance, Task Force members mingled with residents through light discussions, listened to their concerns, and shared messages on public safety and order. The warm and friendly atmosphere was evident throughout the event.
“We want the community to feel that our presence here is not only about maintaining security but also about supporting them in various aspects of life, including social development,” he added.
The initiative was warmly welcomed by the residents, who appreciated the Task Force’s approach, which not only focused on security duties but also on building harmonious relationships with the community.
Through this humanistic and participative approach, the Ops Damai Cartenz Task Force is committed to fostering peace in Papua while supporting social activities that benefit the community.
