Puncak Jaya Police Officer Shot by KKB Bumiwalo Telenggen

Puncak Jaya – Mulia – The shooting incident carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Bumiwalo Telenggen has resulted in a member of the Puncak Jaya Police, Brigadier Ronald M. Enok died on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 in Lima-Lima Village, Pagaleme District, Puncak Jaya Regency.

The victim, who is a member of the Puncak Jaya Police, is known to be queuing to buy kerosene at an APMS in Kampung Lima-Lima. On the way home, Brigadier Ronald was suddenly attacked by the KKB and shot dead at the scene.

The Head of the Cartenz-2025 Peace Task Force Operation, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, confirmed that the Puncak Jaya Police and the Cartenz-2025 Peace Ops Task Force had moved to the Crime Scene (TKP) to evacuate the victims. The body of Brigpol Ronald has been taken to RSUD Mulia to undergo a visa process and the plan is, the body will be flown to his residence in Jayapura today for burial and burial.

“We ensure that public safety is maintained. Currently, investigation steps are being carried out to uncover the perpetrator and the motive behind this action,” said Brigadier General of Police Faizal.

The Head of Public Relations for the Cartenz-2025 Peace Operation, Kombes Pol Yusuf Sutejo, appealed to the public to remain calm and help the apparatus in maintaining security stability in the Puncak Jaya Regency area.

“We invite all the community to maintain the situation so that it remains conducive,” said Kombes Pol Yusuf.
