A number of Papuan traditional figures invited the people in the Papuan region to jointly maintain the security and order of the community (kamtibmas). This invitation was delivered as a response to the importance of security stability to support the development and welfare of the people in Papua.
Therefore, it is hoped that the importance of the role of all elements of society in creating a peaceful atmosphere in Papua. Security is not only the responsibility of the apparatus, but also a shared responsibility.
“All of us, both traditional figures, youths, religious figures, and the general public, must unite to maintain peace. There should be no more conflicts that divide the brotherhood in Papua,” said Herman Yoku.
He also reminded the public not to be easily provoked by issues that can trigger riots or chaos. Herman emphasized that dialogue and deliberation is the best way to solve every problem.
The same thing was conveyed by other traditional figures, who stated that the togetherness of the Papuan people in maintaining kamtibmas will accelerate the creation of development and prosperity.
“We must keep Papua safe, because only with peace can we move forward,” he added.
The public is expected to actively participate in reporting any suspicious activities and work together to protect their environment from security threats.
This invitation is expected to be able to strengthen the spirit of unity and peace in the midst of Papuan diversity, making the area a safe and prosperous place for all its people.
