The briefing took place in the courtyard of SKB Hall, Kemiri Street, Sentani City District, Jayapura Regency. It was attended by the Head of ICT, who is also the Chief of the Law Enforcement Task Force of the Papua Regional Police, Commissioner I.G.G. Era Adhinata, S.I.K.; Jayapura Police Chief, AKBP Umar Nasatekay, S.I.K.; Deputy Commander of the Action Task Force ODC-2024, Commissioner Reinaldo T. Bulo, S.H., S.I.K., M.H.; and personnel from the Papua Regional Police Mobile Brigade and the National Police Mobile Brigade.
In his remarks, Brigadier General Faizal, who also serves as the Deputy Chief of Papua Regional Police, emphasized that the Action Task Force will rely on information provided by both the Law Enforcement and Intelligence Task Forces during their operations.
“The Action Task Force will collaborate closely with the Law Enforcement Task Force while utilizing intelligence gathered by the Intelligence Task Force. It is important to note that incidents occur almost daily in Papua, and the personnel must be adaptive in their actions,” he stated.
Furthermore, he highlighted specific directives for personnel assigned to Yalimo. Upon arrival, they will be guided by the Law Enforcement Task Force to conduct mapping, pursuit, and action against Aske Mabel, a fugitive.
“This individual is a former police officer who absconded with four AK-type firearms and has carried out several criminal actions. The orders are clear: apprehend him, dead or alive. You have superior capabilities compared to this fugitive,” the Deputy Chief added.
He also directed personnel stationed in Nduga to remain highly vigilant, as the area remains a hotspot for the Egianus Kogoya group. He urged field commanders to ensure their teams are well-prepared.
“Plans for the deployment of the Mobile Brigade personnel for the Action Task Force ODC-2025 include areas such as Jayapura (QRF Team 1), Timika (QRF Team 2), Yalimo, Lanny Jaya, Yahukimo, Pegunungan Bintang, Nduga, Intan Jaya, Puncak, Paniai, and Puncak Jaya,” he concluded.
This briefing by Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani serves as a preparation for the task force to carry out law enforcement operations against armed criminal groups (KKB) and armed criminal separatist groups (KKP) in the jurisdictions of the Papua and Central Papua Regional Police.
