Jayapura – The implementation of simultaneous regional head elections (Pilkada) today, Wednesday (27/11/2024), is an important moment for all citizens, including officials and community figures.
Papuan community leader, Yonas Alfons Nusi, invited all elements of society to maintain unity and peace after the 2024 elections.
“Several stages of the 2024 regional elections have passed, and voting has finished. “Now we are all still waiting for the vote count from the KPU,” said Yonas, Wednesday (27/11).
He stated that participation in the regional elections is a form of responsibility as a citizen as well as an example to society.
“As a public figure, I want to invite all people to use their right to vote wisely. “Every vote is very meaningful in determining the future of the nation,” he said.
He also appealed to the public to remain calm and wait for the results of the official vote recapitulation from the KPU.
“Let’s work together to maintain the conduciveness of the Papua region and wait for the final results of the 2024 regional elections with full maturity,” he said.
Furthermore, he emphasized that differences in political choices should not divide the brotherhood and unity of the nation.
“Whoever is chosen will be the choice of the Papuan people. “Let’s support together for the progress of our beloved Land of Papua,” he said.
