Jayapura City- Ahead of the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada), Max Abner Ohee, Chair of the Red and White Front of the Republic of Indonesia in Tanah Papua and Deputy Chair II of the Papuan People’s Council (MRP), invites all Papuan people to participate in supporting the success of the democratic party .
In his interview on Tuesday (11/19/2024), Max Ohee said that the active participation of the community, both Indigenous Papuans (OAP) and immigrants, is very important to ensure that the simultaneous regional elections in Papua run smoothly.
“Let’s work together to support the success of simultaneous regional elections throughout Indonesia, especially in Papua,” said Max Ohee.
He also emphasized that Papua is a common home, so all parties need to work together in ensuring that the regional election process runs according to the stages and applicable regulations.
“Let all components of society in the Land of Papua join hands to oversee the 2024 regional election process. We will provide full support to elect the best leaders,” he added.
Max Ohee hopes that the elected leaders will be able to work together to develop Papua into a more advanced and prosperous region. “These leaders are our hope to develop the Land of Papua that we all love,” he concluded.
The simultaneous regional elections which will be held in 2024 are an important momentum for the Papuan people to participate in determining the future of their region through active and peaceful participation.
