The Elelim Tribal Chief of Yalimo Regency, Musa Nare, called for the importance of maintaining security stability and unity ahead of the simultaneous regional elections on November 27, 2024. He invited all people of Yalimo Regency to continue to support a peaceful atmosphere until all stages of the regional elections are completed.
“We all have a responsibility to maintain calm and peace during the regional elections process. This is an important moment for our democracy,” said Musa Nare when met in Elelim recently.
According to him, public support greatly influences the smooth running of the regional elections. Musa also hopes that this election will produce a leader who is truly capable of fighting for the interests of the people.
“We fully support all stages of the regional elections to run orderly and smoothly so that they produce the best leader for Yalimo Regency,” he added.
Musa Nare also reminded the public not to be easily provoked by false information that can be divisive.
“We must remain wise in receiving information. Don’t be easily incited by news that is not clear, especially those that have the potential to cause conflict,” he said.
He closed his statement by inviting all elements of society, including traditional and religious leaders, to collaborate with security forces in maintaining stability in Yalimo Regency.
“With strong cooperation, we can ensure that the Pilkada runs peacefully, safely, and successfully,” he concluded.
