Papua- In order to realize safe and peaceful regional elections, LMA Chairman Yahukimo Paulus Senik appealed to the people in Dekai City and those in 51 districts not to be provoked into boycotting the 2024 regional elections by actions carried out by certain groups to disrupt security in Yahukimo Regency.
“In creating a social security situation ahead of the regional head elections (Pilkada) on November 27 2024, let’s support the police to maintain peace,” said Paulus.
He also expressed his gratitude to the authorities who had made efforts to maintain security in Papua ahead of the regional elections.
“The police have tried to maintain the security situation, therefore as a society, let us join hands to maintain it too,” he said.
He hopes that, in this Pilkada, all elements of society can be wise in receiving all information so that they are not instigated by propaganda and hoax issues.
“Stop having victims every election, let’s be mature, we are looking for leaders for progress, different choices in politics are normal, so don’t make politics a division of brotherhood and unity,” he explained.
“Let’s make the regional elections on November 27 2024 a success in Yahukimo Regency,” said Paulus.
