The Head of the Tolikara Regency Traditional Community Institution (LMA), Demir Kogoya, emphasized the importance of maintaining security stability ahead of the simultaneous regional elections to be held on November 27, 2024. In his statement, Demir appealed to the public to play an active role in creating a conducive atmosphere until the vote counting process is complete.
“We call on all people of Tolikara Regency to jointly maintain security and peace during the regional elections,” said Demir Kogoya recently.
Demir emphasized that the LMA together with the Tolikara Regency community fully supports the implementation of the regional elections so that they run smoothly, safely, and peacefully. He hopes that all stages of the regional elections can run orderly, so as to produce the best leaders for the community.
“The community’s contribution is very large in creating a conducive atmosphere. A caring community will create a safe and comfortable environment, supporting the smooth running of the regional elections,” added Demir.
In addition, Demir reminded the public to be careful of information that is not clear whether it is true. He emphasized the importance of avoiding news or issues that can trigger division or conflict.
“Don’t be easily provoked by news or information that is not clear whether it is true, especially those that can trigger tension. We must maintain peace and togetherness,” said Demir.
Demir also reminded that collaboration between the community, religious leaders, and security forces is very important in maintaining a peaceful situation during the Pilkada. This joint commitment is expected to ensure that all stages of the Pilkada run successfully and produce leaders who can bring progress to Tolikara Regency.
