Jayapura– The Cartenz-2024 Peaceful Operations Task Force successfully arrested Mozes Rumbrapuk (34), a suspect in the arms and ammunition supplier for the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Nabire, Central Papua. The arrest was made on Jalan Merdeka, Karang Mulya, Nabire on Friday, October 25, 2024, at around 08.58 WIT.
The Head of Operations for the Cartenz-2024 Peaceful Task Force, Brigadier General Pol Faizal Ramadhani, confirmed the arrest and revealed that Mozes was arrested as part of the development of a case that previously involved another perpetrator, namely Otto Burdam.
“On Friday, at 08.58 WIT, our team arrested Mozes Rumbrapuk, who acted as a weapons and ammunition supplier for the KKB in Nabire. “This is the result of hard work and intensive investigations that we have carried out,” said Brigadier General Faizal.
Head of Public Relations Task Force for Cartenz-2024 Peace Operations, Senior Commissioner Dr. Bayu Suseno, explained that the arrest of the perpetrator Mozes Rumbrapuk was carried out after the perpetrator Otto Burdam, who was arrested on October 23, 2024, revealed his involvement with Mozes Rumbrapuk.
“Based on the examination of, Otto Burdam, the person concerned admitted his involvement in arms transactions in Biak Numfor and Nabire throughout 2023 to 2024. From this information, the team carried out developments until they succeeded in identifying Mozes Rumbrapuk as the perpetrator who supplied weapons and ammunition to the KKB. Said Senior Commissioner Dr. Bayu Suseno.
Senior Commissioner Dr. Bayu Suseno explained again that, in further examination, the two perpetrators admitted to having carried out various arms and ammunition transactions over the past two years. Among these transactions are:
a. 1 Assembled Revolver Pistol and 1 Assembled Bullet with a price of 20 million in 2023
b. 1 Relic Revolver Pistol and 5 Assembled Bullets with a price of 4 million in 2023
c. 1 Nambu Pistol with a price of 12 million in 2023
d. 2 Nippon Weapons with a price of 75 million in 2023
e. 1 Thompson Weapon with a price of 30 million in 2023
f. 6 Revolver Ammunition with a price of 100 thousand per bullet in 2023
g. 10 Nippon Ammunition with a price of 50 thousand per bullet in 2023
h. Ammunition cal. 7.62 as many as 250 rounds at a price of 150 thousand per round in June/July 2024 and 105 rounds of ammunition cal. 5.56 in September 2024
During the arrest of Mozes Rumbrapuk, the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops task force team also secured a number of pieces of evidence, including;

“The perpetrator has currently been secured at the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation Post in Nabire to undergo further examination,” explained Kombes Pol Dr. Bayu Suseno.
Kombes Pol Dr. Bayu Suseno, emphasized that the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation Task Force will continue to take firm action against anyone involved in the network of firearms and ammunition suppliers for the KKB.
“The Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation Task Force is fully committed to enforcing the law against anyone who intentionally contributes to the KKB. This is part of our efforts to maintain security and order in Papua,” said Kombes Bayu.
