Jayapura- The body of Stevan Wakari, who was a victim of the murder of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) by the Kodap VIII Kemabu Group led by Adu Wanimbo alias Adu Magai in the Intan Jaya Region, was successfully evacuated, Monday (04/11/2024).
The evacuation process of the victim’s body was conveyed directly by the Head of the Cartenz 2024 Peace Operation, Brigadier General. Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H. He explained that the late Stevan Wakari was sent off at 13.00 WIT from the Bilogai Health Center, Intan Jaya Regency to Bilorai Sugapa Airport, Intan Jaya Regency.
“The delivery of Stevan Wakari’s body was closely guarded by joint TNI-Polri personnel to prevent disturbances from the Armed Criminal Group (KKB),” explained Faizal.
The Head of the Cartenz 2024 Peace Operation stated that joint personnel from the Brimob Satgas Blukar and Kopassus troops from the Nanggala Task Force Ops Damai Cartenz-2024 are still continuing to pursue the KKB perpetrators of the murder in the Kali Wabu Area, Intan Jaya Regency.
“We will pursue and take firm action against the KKB perpetrators of the murder from the Adu Magai Group,” he said.
On the other hand, the Head of the Cartenz 2024 Peace Operation Public Relations Task Force, Senior Commissioner Pol. Dr. Bayu Suseno, S.H., S.I.K., M.M., M.H explained that the Smart PK-SNR aircraft was the aircraft used to evacuate the body of the late Stevan Wakara to Timika.
“We will continue to monitor the departure of the body from Intan Jaya Regency until the evacuation process to the hometown,” he said.
Bayu emphasized that the perpetrators of the murder carried out by the Kodap VIII Group led by Adu Wanimbo alias Adu Magai will continue to be attempted by the Cartenz Peace Task Force to be found in order to be held accountable for their actions according to applicable law.
