Jayapura – There are only a few days left, the peak of the 2024 regional elections will take place. According to the schedule issued by the KPU, the implementation of this five-yearly democratic party will fall on November 27 2024.
In this way, the entire community is expected to participate in making the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Election a success.
Deputy Chair II of the Central Papua MRP, Matheus Wakerkwa, said that all candidate pairs, including governor, deputy governor, regent and deputy regent in this province, are the best.
“So everything is the best, and people are free to choose from every available candidate,” said Matheus to Tribun-Papua.com, in Nabire, Central Papua, Monday, (28/10/2024).
He also asked the public not to abstain from voting during the voting process
“But please let the whole community vote according to their own conscience, and whoever is elected will be the best for this province,” he said.
Matheus also requested that, in this ongoing stage, the public could avoid what is called hoax information, which has a negative impact.
“But come on, every piece of information we get needs to be confirmed as correct, so that the democratic party in this province can run safely, smoothly, peacefully and successfully,” he concluded.
Apart from that, Matheus added, in the future, those from the MRP will go to each appointment area to socialize with the community regarding peaceful regional elections.
