Jayapura- Papuan Traditional Leader Daniel Toto appealed to residents in his area to avoid negative narratives on social media to prevent social conflict.
“We ask that all residents in the nine regencies/cities in Papua Province continue to maintain unity and unity by respecting each other,” said the Papuan Traditional Leader.
According to him, social media should not be used to spread hatred, fake news or hoaxes that can damage social values.
“Use social media as a place to stay in touch and convey good messages, so that together we can help keep Papua safe,” he said.
He explained that although there were differences in the choice of regional head candidates in the nine regencies/cities of Papua Province, they were still maintained.
“We invite all community leaders to become pioneers in maintaining peace in Papua so that the implementation of the Pilkada stages runs well,” he said.
He added that the entire community must support the TNI-Polri in maintaining security and protecting the people in Papua Province.
“All activities can run well and smoothly as long as security and social security conditions are maintained. “So, let’s prioritize unity and diversity and use social media wisely,” he concluded.
