Cartenz-2024 Peaceful Operations Task Force Arrests KKB in Yahukimo, Secures Money Confiscated by Village Head to Purchase Weapons

Jayapura – The Cartenz-2024 Peaceful Operations Task Force successfully arrested KKB Enes Dapla and his two colleagues in Yahukimo, Papua Pegunungan, on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at around 16:55 WIT.

The Head of Operations for the Cartenz-2024 Peaceful Task Force, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, confirmed the arrest.

In his statement, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani revealed that KKB Enes Dapla and his two colleagues were arrested along with the confiscated money suspected of coming from the Village Head. The money was planned to be used to purchase firearms and ammunition.

“KKB Enes Dapla and his two colleagues were arrested while riding a black Beat motorbike across the intersection towards Jalan Gunung, Yahukimo,” said Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani.

Head of Public Relations of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operations Task Force, Senior Commissioner Dr. Bayu Suseno, added that the arrest occurred when KKB KKB Enes Dapla and his two colleagues were robbing the Village Head’s money. They were suspected of using the money to purchase weapons and ammunition.

“From the hands of the perpetrators, evidence was found in the form of money and a circular containing instructions for fundraising from the Village to support Papuan Independence and the purchase of weapons and ammunition as well as a black Beat motorbike.

“For the circular that was found, it is known to have been signed by Elkius Kobak, who is the leader of the KKB Kodap XVI Yahukimo,” explained Senior Commissioner Dr. Bayu Suseno.

Currently, the investigation into Enes Dapla and his two colleagues is still ongoing at the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operations Task Force Post in the Yahukimo area.
