Jayapura- Papua Police, in collaboration with Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH), held training on the use of information technology and socialization regarding cyberbullying. The activity, which began on Wednesday, October 17, 2024, aims to improve technology usage skills among young people and raise awareness of cybersecurity and digital ethics.
This training also discussed topics related to insults on social media, with reference to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (UU ITE).
The socialization was guided directly by AKP Sosra Antoni, AMd. Han, who provided an in-depth understanding of Information Technology, cyberbullying and its impact on social media.
The activity, which lasted for five days, from October 17 to 23, 2024, was attended by young men and women from Jayapura City.
The event’s organizing committee, Yuni Randongkir from PYCH, expressed her gratitude to the Papua Police for this initiative.
“With the knowledge gained, we hope that it can be useful for young people in Jayapura city in developing achievements and business productivity in today’s digital era,” said Yuni.
This training is expected to equip participants with the technical knowledge needed to create an effective website, as well as provide awareness about the importance of maintaining ethics and security in interacting in cyberspace.
