Pilot Philip Mark Mehrtens Transits at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Before Departing for Jakarta

Timika–* Pilot Philip Mark Mehrtens, who was freed after being held hostage by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua, arrived safely at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, Makassar, at 17:35 WITA.Pilot Philip Mark Mehrtens was accompanied by a team consisting of the Assistant Operations (Asops) to the Chief of Police and his team, the Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation and his team, the Nanggala Task Force Team, the Papua Police Team, the Kogabwilhan III Team, and Pilot Afis, who is Philip Mark Mehrtens’ colleague.The Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation, Brigadier General Pol Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, confirmed that the plane transited in Makassar to refuel before continuing its journey to Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport, Jakarta.”The plane transited at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, Makassar, to refuel, before continuing the flight to Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport in Jakarta,” said Brigadier General Pol Dr. Faizal Ramadhani.Head of the Public Relations Task Force for the Cartenz-2024 Peaceful Operation, Senior Commissioner Dr. Bayu Suseno, added that the Indonesian Air Force plane carrying Pilot Philip Mark Mehrtens and the team arrived safely in Makassar at 17:35 WITA.”After refueling which took about two hours, the team will continue the flight to Jakarta and is estimated to arrive at Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport at 20:00 WIB,” concluded Senior Commissioner Dr. Bayu Suseno.
