Papua – A joint operation by the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri) successfully apprehended several sympathizers of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in Intan Jaya, Papua.
Following their arrest and subsequent investigation, the KKB sympathizers decided to pledge their allegiance to the Republic of Indonesia. The formal pledge was made on Thursday, September 5, 2024.
The oath-taking ceremony was led by Lieutenant Colonel Dian D. Setyadi, Commander of Task Force Yonif 509 Kostrad, at the Mamba Strong Point.
The event was witnessed by personnel from TNI-Polri and several community leaders who came to show support for the KKB sympathizers’ decision to reintegrate into the Indonesian state.
