Jayapura City Police, – Responding to the planned crowd action that will be carried out by a group calling itself KNPB on August 15, Jayapura City Police ensures security guarantees for the community.
This was stated by the Head of Operations for the Jayapura City Police, who was just appointed this morning, Police Commissioner Clief Gerald P. Duwith, S.E., S.IK., M.Si when interviewed at the Police Headquarters, Tuesday (13/08) afternoon.
Police Commissioner Clief said that regarding the demonstration that will be carried out by the KNPB on August 15 2024, the Police will provide security guarantees for the residents of Jayapura City.
“We will ensure the security of the Jayapura City area in anticipation of the demonstration that will be carried out by the KNPB,” he said.
Police Commissioner Clief continued, his party will continue to take firm, measurable steps according to the rules to ensure public security and order in the jurisdiction of the Jayapura City Police.
“Of course we emphasize to those who will take action that there is no Long March, no mass gathering which could then potentially make the stability of Jayapura City unfavorable,” he concluded.
The former Danyon A of Brimob Sat Brimob Polda Papua also appealed to the people of Jayapura City to continue carrying out their activities as usual, don’t be provoked because the security forces will always provide security guarantees.(*)
