The Head of the Jayapura Regency Humanitarian Forum, Menase Bernard T’aime, who is also an activist for Tanah Tabi, appealed to the Tabi community, especially in Jayapura, not to be provoked by the issues currently circulating regarding the planned action on August 15, 2024.
He emphasized that the action planned by the KNPB should be carried out in a respectful manner and in accordance with applicable regulations. This means that the community can convey their aspirations by coming directly to meet with the DPRP and MRP as representatives of the Papuan people.
Menase Bernard T’aime invited the community to learn from several previous peaceful demonstrations that often disrupted public activities and even caused damage to buildings and vehicles.
“Therefore, as a young Tabi activist, he strongly rejects the street action planned for August 15, 2024,” said Bernad, Thursday (8/8/2024).
This appeal emphasizes the importance of maintaining order and security and conveying aspirations through official and peaceful channels.
