Jayapura- Chairman of the Sukoharjo Makmur Association in Jayapura, Damino, invited all parties to guarantee peace in the grand celebration of the simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada) in 2024 so that the goal of developing Papua can be carried out well.
According to Damino, efforts to maintain a safe and peaceful situation in the series of simultaneous regional elections on 27 November 2024 are not only the responsibility of the organizers.
“Not only by the organizers, but it is very important for all parties to maintain mutual security and calm in every series of implementation in 2024,” said Damino.
In the context of general elections, Damino believes that voters must also be able to position themselves as subjects, not as objects.
“As subjects, of course the public can play a more active role in providing a positive impression. “We must all agree to avoid provocative actions that could divide unity,” he added.
By creating a conducive atmosphere, Damino believes that this will have a more positive impact and freedom for elected leaders to immediately implement it.
“If regional elections can be carried out without conflict or resolution, it will certainly make it easier for the elected leaders to carry them out immediately,” added Damino.
On this occasion, Damino also hoped that the momentum of the Pilkada would be able to provide benefits for all people in Papua.
“Plkada has become a very important process in determining Papua’s future. “We hope that people can feel the value of the benefits, both directly and indirectly,” he concluded
